- Navigating the RTL Wilderness: Yet Another Departure in the Lady-Constraining Strategy
Hanka Rackwitz voluntarily departed from RTL's summer jungle camp. "I want to hit the brakes at the right moment," stated the reality star ("rent, buy, live") in a visibly exhausted manner during the Wednesday episode of "I'm a Star – Showdown of Jungle Legends" on RTL+.
"I could stick around, but it'd cost me too much." Prior to her departure, Rackwitz had had disagreements with models Elena Miras and Sarah Knappik, among others. Ultimately, she uttered the phrase "I'm a star – Get me out of here!" which signaled her departure.
"I'm not a woman, but I've got a woman at home"
The atmosphere in the South African jungle has grown significantly more intense on the seventh day. Kader Loth described it as follows: "We're dealing with four, five issues all at once: sleeplessness, limited food, the challenges. And then the arguments amongst us. And that's the worst." The majority of the campers are now focusing their aggression towards actress Giulia Siegel. The latest trigger was a dispute between Siegel and Loth about how to utilize the scarce toilet paper in the jungle bathroom.
The discussion soon heated up. Loth used some toilet paper for discreet disposal of private hygiene items. In the history of RTL, there has likely never been such a lengthy debate about the advantages and disadvantages of tampons as at the start of this episode. Former footballer Thorsten Legat began his input with the bold words: "I'm not a woman, but I've got a woman at home," but then had to provide a lot of clarification. Eventually, reality star Gigi Birofio took on the role of the standout women's advocate: "I don't have a vagina, but you have all the rights to use as much toilet paper as you need."
"I'd switch off my TV"
Birofio celebrated his 25th birthday in the camp - and was a little underwhelmed. He only received the typical cigarettes and not the desired jungle romance as a gift. Nevertheless, he was incredibly successful in a jungle race, whose rules are too complex to explain here. With Legat and Loth, he won eight out of eleven possible stars. Birofio attributed this to his "intelligence."
While dark clouds were gathering over Giulia Siegel in the camp, there were rumors of her eviction. The actress largely maintained a positive attitude and smiled away the constant criticism around her. Only occasionally did tears appear.
"It's rarely been this challenging for me in a show as it is here," admitted Siegel. She won't back down. Her advice to the viewers faced with so much animosity in the camp was reminiscent of the former TV educator Peter Lustig: "At this point, I'd turn off my TV."
"Broom closet rendezvous" at 20
At least Siegel was able to get actor Winfried Glatzeder to make the most intriguing statements of the day in the entire camp. How was his first time? The actor dryly: "That was a broom closet encounter. That's how my first child was conceived." Siegel, astonished: "You had a child on your first time?" Glatzeder, wistfully: "And I didn't want to." He was 20 years old at the time. And he adds emotionally: "I've never been asked that before. You're the first one to be so bold."
"I miss watching my favorite shows at home." After hearing about Hanka Rackwitz's departure from the summer jungle camp, you might find yourself missing the comfort of your living room and your trusty television.
"I'm not a fan of reality shows anymore." After the intense disagreements and long debates about toilet paper usage in the jungle camp, you might find yourself losing interest in reality shows like "I'm a Star – Showdown of Jungle Legends."
