Musician DJ Felix Jaehn announces his departure from the music industry.

Musician DJ Felix Jaehn announces his departure from the music industry.

The music sensation, hailing from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, known as Felix Jaehn, has temporarily taken a break from the music world. He's canceled his performances due to the advice of professionals, revealing in an Instagram post close to his 30th birthday that he's too susceptible to perform.

His calendar for the near future included a gig at Heide-Park Resort in Soltau, with performances in Frankfurt am Main and Ibiza set for September, as per his website. Addressing his fans, he expressed, "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but for now, I'm forced to indefinitely cancel all shows." His body and mind have been sending out "caution signals," and he's chosen to pay heed. He thinks this is the time for him to relax and recuperate. Accompanying his message is a picture of a broken, red heart.

Felix Jaehn achieved his first hit in 2015 with a remix of the song "Cheerleader". He publicly acknowledged his bisexuality in 2018 for the first time. This year, he clarified his non-conforming gender identity and sexual orientation. Most recently, he identified as pansexual and non-binary, preferring the nickname "Fee". Pansexuality refers to individuals who aren't selective regarding gender or gender identity before becoming romantically or sexually interested.

During an interview with drag queens Jacky-Oh Weinhaus and Jurassica Parka in April, Jaehn disclosed that his music project would continue to be called "Felix Jaehn". "That'd be too complex to alter everything. But if you're talking to me, feel free to refer to me as Fee."

Despite his temporary departure from the music scene, Felix Jaehn's forthcoming album still promises a symphony of sounds based on his unique musical style. Missing his performances, many fans are eagerly anticipating his return, hoping that his music will once again fill their lives with melody and rhythm.
