Müller's wife didn't come alone - Füllkrug's wife in tight pink
Tens of thousands in the stadium - and two Lisas in the spotlight. The women of Thomas Müller and Niclas Füllkrug drew the attention. One, because she was supporting her husband for the first time at the EM. The other for fashion reasons.
The German national players were not only cheered on by tens of thousands on the tribunes during their victory against Denmark. They also received support from friends and family in Dortmund's Westfalen-Stadion. And unlike the previous matches, Thomas Müller's wife was in the stadium again. Furthermore, Niclas Füllkrug's wife caused a stir. She wore a one-piece suit that was inspired by the pink DFB jersey. Accurately, with the number 9 of her husband and his nickname "Lücke" on the back.
Müller's wife Lisa had missed all group matches of the German national team - officially because of her participation in international riding tournaments in Austria. But for the first time, she watched from the tribune. However, she could not encourage her husband - once again, the 34-year-old spent the entire game on the bench and could only celebrate on the field after the final whistle.
Meanwhile, Müller's wife chose the pink away jersey of the German national team and wore an ice pack. Next to her was apparently her flying instructor, with whom she had already posted a joint selfie on Instagram in March.
So no marital crisis? Thomas Müller had already reacted clearly to rumors in May: "Yes, everything is fine," he said to "Bunte" in response to the question whether "everything was in order between him and his wife." Lisa and Thomas Müller have been married since 2009.
Lisa Müller was not the only German "player's wife" in the stadium: Among others, Katharina Raum, wife of David Raum, Joshua Kimmich's wife Lina, and Manuel Neuer's wife Anika were there. Nagelsmann's partner Lena Wurzenberger was also present. The five of them showed themselves on the tribune in coordinated jerseys, with Füllkrug, as mentioned, opting for a sleeveless one-piece suit.
Some celebrities were also in the stadium. Comedian Oliver Pocher shared some Instagram stories, including a selfie with ex-wife Alessandra Meyer-Wölden - the two were in the pink Germany jersey as a couple and had their children with them. In addition, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz addressed the national team, as did Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Health Minister Karl Lauterbach.
