- Monarch Charles is accommodating Henrietta, the fowl.

King Charlie III, who's 75, brought in a chicken now. This feathered friend found a cozy abode on his west English manor, Highgrove, as reported by the British Hen Welfare Trust, an organization dedicated to saving aged laying hens. The chicken got the royal name of "Henrietta."

"Henrietta" marked the 1,000,000th hen rescued by the organization for a comfortable new life, they shared. Normally, hens used for commercial egg production are replaced by younger ones at the 18-month mark to boost production and keep consumer costs down. The retired hens then head for the slaughterhouse.

Jane Howorth, the organization's chief, stated how delightful it is to think that these animals now spend their twilight years in tranquility. The enchanting gardens of Highgrove, Charles' private retreat near Bristol, are open for visitors during the summer.

King Charles III, affectionately known as King Charlie, took interest in the 1,000,000th hen rescued by the British Hen Welfare Trust, named "Henrietta." This hen would now reside on King Charles' estate, Highgrove.
