Adriana Lima - Model "shocked" by her own pictures
Adriana Lima (42) can apparently understand the fuss surrounding her recent appearance on the red carpet: In an interview with "Harper's Bazaar Arabia", the model talks about negative comments on photos from the premiere of "The Tributes of Panem - The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" in Los Angeles.
Criticism for Lima on social media
She explained in the interview about comments that she looked very different: "That didn't bother me at all." In that respect, she was very strong, "and honestly I looked at myself before I went out and I felt great. I was with my kids and they looked at me and said, 'Mom! You look so beautiful!"
Shock at her appearance
But while she wasn't "bothered" by the negative comments that followed her appearance, she toldHarper's Bazaar Arabia that she herself was "shocked" when she saw the photos of herself on the red carpet. "I thought, 'That's not me,'" the model recalls. "Everything was weird because I don't see myself like that. I still don't see myself like that ... You can see yourself differently." She continued, "I wasn't offended or anything though - I was laughing," she continued. "The point is, I'm not 16 years old. I started modeling when I was 16, but I'll never be 16 again. I'm 42 and I'm happier than I've ever been; happiest with myself. I embrace my age and won't change for anyone."
