Mobile carrier 1&1 experiences network disruption due to software update.
The telecom brand 1&1 is grappling with issues in its recently launched mobile network. Some technical troubles emerged on Monday which were addressed by the organization that same day, as per their official statement.
This unforeseen event impacted around four percent of their 12 million customers, leading to certain limitations within their network on Tuesday morning. They're working tirelessly to fix the situation.
1&1 rolled out their miniature mobile network towards the end of last year. Beforehand, the company was predominantly utilizing the O2 network while paying rent for it. Now, they're gradually moving their subscribers to their very own network. For areas where 1&1 lacks antennas, i.e., in most of Germany, their customers are connected to O2's antennas due to a nationwide roaming deal.
The O2 network remains unaffected by these disruptions. A representative of the company confirmed, "Both customers and customers of O2 Telefónica can go on making calls and utilizing their digital applications without any hiccups."

The software update initiated by 1&1 inadvertently led to a technical problem, causing a network fault. Mobile operator 1&1 is currently coordinating with their team to resolve the issue, ensuring a smooth software update for their customers' mobile devices.
