Microsoft intends to invest 4 billion euros in France.
Before the "Choose France" business gathering in Paris, Microsoft, a major US tech firm, unveils their intention to put in 4 billion euros in the nation. This yearly event was created by France to draw more foreign investors into their country.
Long before the beginning of the conference with French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron, foreign corporations vow investments worth 15 billion euros, a 2 billion increase from last year. Technology, artificial intelligence, and finance stand out as key domains for these investments.
Apart from Microsoft, significant contributors encompass Amazon (1.2 billion euros) and the pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and AstraZeneca (nearing a total of one billion euros).
Afterward, France's Finance Minister Bruno LeMaire is scheduled to engage in discussions with the leaders of the significant US banks JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America.
This assembly targets solidifying Paris' status as a European economic hub. Considering Paris as a global financial center, it usually finds itself trailing behind New York and London. Eclipsed by New York and London, France, Europe's second biggest economy, is currently battling obstacles due to its budget deficit and weak economic performance in the initial quarter.

Microsoft, as a top investor, follows suit by announcing a planned investment of 4 billion euros in France, making Amazon's 1.2 billion euro commitment look even more substantial amongst the foreign investments in the country. This significant investment from Microsoft could potentially boost France's economy, helping it to narrow the gap between its financial hub status and that of leading cities such as New York and London.
