Michelle sends a naked signal against hate

Michelle has recently announced that she wants to withdraw from the Schlager world. One reason for this: hate on the internet. The Schlagersängerin has received cruel comments, especially due to the age difference between her and her 25-year-old music colleague Eric Philippi. Now, she's showing her haters her other side.

Last year, Schlagersängerin Michelle and her 25-year-old music colleague Eric Philippi made their relationship official. In June 2024, the couple unexpectedly announced their engagement. Due to the age difference, they are often confronted with criticism. However, they are now fighting back - and they're doing it on Instagram in a bold way.

On Tuesday, Michelle shared a nearly nude photo of herself and Philippi on Instagram, leaning against a kitchen counter. They both wore black thongs. Over their buttocks, they placed hearts with the title of Michelle's song "Lieb mich oder lass es sein."

"A heartfelt apology"

With the post, they want to fight against hate on the internet - and they receive plenty of it. In the image, numerous negative comments like "Going out with granny" or "Great, the caregiver is taking care of his elderly patient" appear one after the other. Michelle writes in response: "A heartfelt apology to all those who think they have to insult others in the worst possible way to feel better! Remember love!" She added the hashtags #liebmichoderlassessein and #againsthateonnet.

For their daring message, the couple receives a lot of support in the comment section: "I don't know who sets the rules that the man has to be older. Age is just a number. You're an amazing couple," it says there. Several music colleagues also join Michelle and Eric: "Don't let anyone talk you out of it, dear Michelle, you're still far from old! You're a wonderful lady!", writes Party Schlagersängerin Mia Julia. Joelina Drews comments: "Congratulations to you two! Thick hugs!"

Michelle and Eric Philippi announced their engagement in June during the recording of the ARD-show "Schlagerbooom Open Air - The Stadionshow in Austria." Michelle was already married twice: from 1995 to 1999 to singer Albert Oberloher and from 2007 to 2010 to Josef Shitawey. The singer has three daughters from three relationships. Her eldest daughter, Céline Oberloher, was born in the same year as Eric Philippi. Daughter Marie Reim from the relationship with Matthias Reim is also making a career as a Schlagersängerin. Michelle became a mother for the third time in 2008.

  1. Michelle and Eric Philippi, despite facing criticism due to their age difference, are using social media, specifically Instagram, to stand against online hate in the entertainment industry, often associated with pop music.
  2. Amidst the negative comments like "Going out with granny" and "The caregiver is taking care of his elderly patient", Michelle responded with a heartfelt message on Instagram, encouraging love and apologizing to those who resort to insults.
  3. The bold Instagram post from Michelle and Eric, accompanied by the song title "Lieb mich oder lass es sein" and her appeal against hate, has received significant support from fans and fellow celebrity couples in the world of entertainment and pop music, including Mia Julia and Joelina Drews.
