New release - Michelle: Farewell album not a reckoning with show business
Singer Michelle ("Wer Liebe lebt") sees her farewell album "Flutlicht" not as a settlement with the show business. "I wouldn't speak of a settlement", the 52-year-old told the German Press Agency. "Settlement sounds like bitterness, I'm not that." She just looks back on 30 years in the entertainment industry. "And there are very authentic stories among them."
In the title song "Flutlicht", she processes experiences in show business. "I came into this business with great naivety, believing that everyone is my friend", Michelle said. "I had to learn that not everyone has good intentions towards me, that there are people who exploit me. Then you're just a product in the end."
