Separation from Candice - "Maybe we're just too different": lottery millionaire Chico is single again

Luck in gambling, misfortune in love: Kürsat Yildirim, better known as Lottery millionaire Chico, and his girlfriend Candice Newgas have gone their separate ways after approximately one and a half years of relationship. Both confirmed this on their Social Media accounts. "Chico and I are separated. The reasons for that are various and unimportant at this point," wrote the 37-year-old in an Instagram story. Chico told "Bild" newspaper: "Yes, we have separated. It just didn't work out between us, which is sad. We have had some beautiful times together, I really wish them all the best in life." Regarding the reasons for the breakup, he said: "Perhaps we are just too different. We have different hobbies, social circles, and often different opinions." In the long run, cohabitation did not work out.

It all started so beautifully. Chico and the policewoman met each other during a traffic control. She stopped him because he was driving too fast in a 30 zone. The Dortmunder asked her for a coffee date, but the Oberkommissarin initially refused. "Because he was so persistent, I finally gave in. With the motto: 'A coffee won't kill you'. I thought it would be a quick fling, as I didn't have much interest in him otherwise, type-wise," said Newgas in the past year to Sender RTL.

Chico and Candice Newgas appeared in TV shows together

However, the two quickly became a couple, and they were last seen together in several TV shows, such as the Sat.1 documentary "Money talks". Chico and his partner revealed that they spend approximately 1500 Euro per month on restaurant visits and 2500 Euro per month on lottery tickets. "I just can't help it, because I've become a multimillionaire," said the 43-year-old.

The former dredger won the Eurojackpot in 2022 and nearly ten million Euro. He invested most of the money in apartments, luxury cars, and expensive jewelry – valuables, with which he likes to boast publicly. Recently, he bought himself a penthouse at Dortmund's Phoenix Lake. In it, Chico will live alone after the separation from Candice. About a possible new partner, he told "Bild" newspaper: "I'll let it be for now. I have all the time in the world and I'll just let myself be surprised. But of course, in the long run, I would like to have a partner by my side again. I would like to become a father and have children."
