Her popular character is probably Natalie from the Christmas movie "Love Actually," where she finds her bliss with Hugh Grant's character. In reality, Martine McCutcheon (48) has parted ways with her husband Jack McManus following 18 years of marriage - it was his call. She announced this split on her Instagram story, reaching out to her 620,000 followers on August 22.

The call was his

In a statement, McCutcheon made it clear that the separation was his choice: "After careful thought, Jack has decided that it's in our best interests to part ways after 18 years, and I support his decision."

McCutcheon further expressed their gratitude towards their nine-year-old son Rafferty and both Parents' primary focus is ensuring his well-being. "We're both excited to continue being Rafferty's parents for the remainder of our lives," the actress added. It's a "challenging time," but she wishes her ex-husband "all the love, happiness, and joy for the new phase of his life."

Martine McCutcheon and Jack McManus, a musician, first met in London during the early 2000s. It was "love at first sight." They tied the knot by Lago di Como in Italy in 2012. Their son was born in 2015.

She praised him just two weeks ago

Two weeks prior, McCutcheon shared cheerful vacation photos on her story and proclaimed: "No clouds in sight." She also celebrated her husband's 40th birthday earlier this month with a heartfelt Instagram post and numerous photos from their relationship. "You know I love you more than anything," she wrote, among other things, but she also hinted at a "new chapter" then.

In her Instagram post celebrating Jack's birthday, Martine expressed her love and mentioned a potential new chapter, perhaps implying that she was aware of the upcoming separation. Despite this, just two weeks later, she announced their separation on her Instagram story.

Despite the separation, Martine emphasized in her statement that both she and Jack remain fully committed to their son's well-being, demonstrating a level of understanding and cooperation during this challenging time.
