Marius Müller-Westernhagen is withdrawing from additional performances.

The "75 Live" tour by Marius Müller-Westernhagen isn't going as planned. Once again, the musician has had to scrap two shows "at the doctor's orders". This makes it the fourth and fifth cancelled shows of his anniversary tour.

Following the cancellation of concerts in Mönchengladbach and Coburg, Müller-Westernhagen has had to cancel more performances. A gig set for Saturday in Dresden, as well as a show scheduled for August 27 in Halle an der Saale, have been called off. This was announced on the singer's official Instagram.

Müller-Westernhagen is still dealing with a "recurring viral infection" and his doctors have advised him to keep resting.

There will be no make-up dates for Dresden and Halle. Tickets that have already been bought can be refunded at the point of sale. "The artist, management, and promoters express their regrets and hope for the fans' understanding," the statement concluded.

Many fans have responded with understanding to the cancellation due to illness. However, some have voiced their frustration in the Instagram comments over the lack of rescheduled dates.

Three more shows remaining

The rest of Müller-Westernhagen's "75 Live" tour appears to be unaffected. The anniversary tour to celebrate the German rock icon's 75th birthday will continue on August 30. The musician is set to perform at the Loreley Open Air stage on the Rhine. There are three more shows on the schedule, with the tour wrapping up on September 7 in Rostock.

The cancellation of the Dresden and Halle shows comes as no surprise, as Müller-Westernhagen's doctors had already ruled out the Coburg concert planned for Friday. It seems that holding the gig in Dresden the day after proved to be a bit too optimistic.

The "75 Live" tour hasn't exactly been a breeze. Back in May, a show was cancelled at the last minute - even more so than this time. Müller-Westernhagen was already backstage at the Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart when he had to be treated by doctors.

Despite the setbacks, fans are still eager to attend the remaining shows of Marius Müller-Westernhagen's "75 Live" tour. The upcoming performances include a concert at the Loreley Open Air stage on August 30, a highlight in rock music events.

Remaining shows include a performance at the Loreley Open Air stage in Germany, a popular venue known for hosting top-notch rock music events.
