Music charts - Mariah Carey at the top - Stones ahead in albums

Mariah Carey remains at number one in the German charts with "All I Want For Christmas Is You". It is now the 15th number one week for the 1994 Christmas pop hit, with festive songs again accounting for more than 50 of all 100 positions in the singles charts this week, as GfK Entertainment announced on Friday in its role as compiler of the Official German Charts.

As in the previous week, Carey is followed by Wham! ("Last Christmas"), Shakin' Stevens ("Merry Christmas Everyone") and Chris Rea ("Driving Home For Christmas"). In fifth place this time is "Wonderful Dream (Holidays Are Coming)" by singer Melanie Thornton, who died in 2001.

The highest newcomer in the singles charts is at position 27: "3 Hazelnuts" by Jaques Raupé & Felix Harrer. The song combines "the title melody of the cult film "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" with modern techno beats", explained GfK Entertainment.

In the album charts, Wincent Weiss falls from the top spot to tenth place with "Wincents weisse Weihnachten". The Rolling Stones ("Hackney Diamonds") rise from number four to number one. Ben Zucker is new at number two with the album "Heute nicht!". Music legend Peter Gabriel falls slightly from second to third place with "I/O". Andrea Berg climbs from eighth to fourth place with "Weihnacht". Marius Müller-Westernhagen remains in fifth place with "Westernhagen 75 (18 Songs: 1974 - 2023)".
