The agreement with the judge aided Bam Margera in rectifying his lifestyle, as he expressed appreciation.

Margera, previously incarcerated, securely exits penal institution.

Bam Margera, the famed "Jackass" star, has been wrestling with substance abuse issues for a considerable period, resulting in numerous legal issues. In September, a probation breach saw him get taken into custody. Now, he's back on the streets, but there's a stipulation to his freedom.

He's technically a free man: On September 16, Bam Margera was escorted out of Chester County Prison in Pennsylvania after serving time for driving under the influence and violating prior court rulings. According to reports from the Daily Mail, he'll be checking into a rehab center imminently to tackle his drug and alcohol addiction. Seems like he's finally woken up to the gravity of his situation.

Margera was in hot water for DUI and probation violation charges that went unchecked, prompting a warrant for his arrest. Early this week, he was in handcuffs, facing Judge Patrick Carmody. The judge ordered Margera's release, allotted under the condition that he starts rehab treatment without delay.

Philadelphia attorney Michael T. van der Veen revealed Margera would be treated at a facility affiliated with Recovery Centers of America, which manages several rehab centers along the Eastern coast. Van der Veen divulged that the rehabilitation process will last around a month, with room for adjustments based on Recovery Centers of America's assessment.

"A decent guy dealing with addiction"

Lawyer Van der Veen spoke highly of Margera's release, hailing it as a positive development in court. He stated Margera was eager to regain his health and move past this legal hurdle. Margera himself expressed gratitude, addressing Judge Carmody, "I'm just thankful for this whole experience. It allows me to address my issues and set my life straight." Margera credited his wife, fitness model Dannii Marie, for keeping him sober since their wedding in May 2023 in New Mexico.

Ruminating on the past, Margera acknowledged that he had to hit rock bottom with drug and alcohol abuse to recognize a need for change. In the aftermath, both his other attorney, William J. Brennan, and the legal community looked upon him sympathetically as a struggling individual in the throes of addiction.

Margera gained notoriety in the early 2000s following his exploits on MTV's "Jackass," with its infamous cast staging outrageous, often self-damaging stunts. The show amassed an enormous teenage following, catapulting Margera to international fame. Unfortunately, his career took a disastrous turn, marred by substance abuse-related lawsuits and public controversies.

Recently, Margera made headlines for assaulting his brother Jess and threatening his girlfriend, incurring court-mandated rehabilitation and therapy. A violation of these conditions led to his probation-related legal issues and September's arrest. Only future events will reveal if the "Jackass" star truly desires a new beginning.

Despite his past legal issues, Bam Margera seems committed to overcoming his addiction. Upon his release from prison, he plans to check into a rehab center to address his drug and alcohol issues.

The entertainment industry and legal community have shown sympathy towards Bam Margera as he grapples with his addiction, acknowledging that he reached rock bottom before recognizing the need for change.
