On a Friday night, a vehicle tumbled into the Schlachtensee in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf region of Berlin. The fire department revealed the shocking news around midnight. There were presumeably one (or more) people in the vehicle. After numerous dives, no other people were found.
Early on Saturday morning, a police representative confirmed that at least one person died at the scene of this unfortunate incident after unsuccessful resuscitation attempts.
The Berlin daily "Bild" claims the dead person was the car's driver. Unfortunately, the police could not verify this claim. The car belonged to Miles, a car-sharing service. The reason for the car ending up in the lake remains a mystery.
