Machine Gun Kelly on a "hard" rehab trip

Machine Gun Kelly on a "hard" rehab trip

Machine Gun Kelly Reveals He's Been Sober for a Year. He Credits His Ex-Fiancée Megan Fox for Helping Him.

In an episode of Bunnie Xo's podcast "Dumb Blonde," Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) opened up about his past struggles with alcohol. Now, he's "completely sober," he emphasizes, "I don't drink. I haven't had a drink since last August."

Colson Baker, MGK's real name, checked himself into a rehab facility last year. He admitted to abusing alcohol, marijuana, and pills. He acknowledges that his journey to recovery will continue to be challenging, but he's accepting and forgiving himself. Megan Fox, his ex-fiancée and American actress, was a significant support during his recovery. "Megan was definitely a big help in dealing with the psychological withdrawal symptoms that come with detoxing from drugs," MGK gushed in the podcast interview.

Confusion Surrounds MGK and Fox's Relationship

Recently, there's been confusion surrounding MGK and Fox's relationship. They started dating in 2020 and announced their engagement two years later. In March 2024, Fox confirmed that the engagement was called off in 2023, but still referred to MGK as her "twin flame." In June, they attended an event together, dancing closely. In late July, MGK released his new music video for "Lonely Road," featuring Fox as his pregnant wife, whose baby bump he tenderly kisses. The simulated pregnancy sparked rumors that Fox might be pregnant with MGK's child. However, the baby in the video was cast.

Machine Gun Kelly mentioned that he enjoys listening to music as a way to relax and unwind during his recovery process. His ex-fiancée Megan Fox also showed support by attending his concerts, contributing to his love for music.
