Luke Mockridge was not allowed to appear on TV show
At "Stars in the Circus", Luke Mockridge was missing. His performance for the audience had to be cancelled. Instead, his performance was recorded beforehand. Moderator Jörg Pilawa explained the reason for his absence at the TV show recording.
At "Stars in the Circus" on Friday evening, there were numerous stars present as acrobats, magicians, clowns, and animal trainers. One was missing at Circus Krone: Comedian Luke Mockridge was supposed to fly through the air in the merry-go-round, but he was not there during the broadcast. His performance had to be cancelled.
Moderator Jörg Pilawa explained the reason for his absence: The comedian had tested positive for Corona and had to isolate. Mockridge appeared via video and apologized. However, the TV audience did not have to miss his performance: According to Pilawa, it was recorded beforehand without an audience. The production of the TV show had already taken place in December, Mockridge's Corona infection was therefore already several months old.
Mockridge was recently in the headlines due to his party life, which he described as "excessive" in an interview with "stern". However, he clearly distinguished his "excessive party life" and the resulting "misconduct" from the drama that arose after his ex-girlfriend Ines Anioli accused him of attempted rape.
His party excesses "had nothing to do with the allegation of rape, which has already fallen apart legally" he emphasized. He could "take responsibility and say: I was an asshole, and that's sad", he also admitted for his "behavior regarding my very exciting nightlife".
"Late bloomer. Uncool."
"I had a almost athletic motivation to pick up women." He remembers the encouragement for such activities as "high fives and shoulder pats". He wanted to party just as hard as non-celebrities, "wanted to drink, knock over trash cans, rip washbasins out of the wall, and jump into the crowd from the DJ booth", he describes his former mood.
"From today's perspective: late bloomer. Uncool", he judges himself in 2024. His party behavior could be "classified as human error. The other is a crime, which I did not commit", he emphasized once again.
Despite his recent controversy surrounding his party life, the pre-recorded comedy skits of Luke Mockridge still provided entertainment for the TV audience. His absence was explained by Moderator Jörg Pilawa, who mentioned that Mockridge had a prior TV show recording from December, which included his stand-up comedy routine.
Even though Luke Mockridge was not physically present at the TV show recording due to his Corona isolation, his comedic performance was preserved and broadcasted.
