On Saturday, August 31, the public can pay their respects to Lugner, his family announced to APA. "All Viennese, all Austrians, and everyone beyond is invited to attend Lugner's memorial service at St. Stephen's Cathedral to say their final goodbyes together," it was stated. Later that day, the entrepreneur will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at a cemetery near his Vienna-Grinzing villa, surrounded by his closest family and friends.

Lugner passed away on Monday at the age of 91. He was also known internationally for his annual appearances at the Vienna Opera Ball, always accompanied by celebrities.
