Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has congratulated his wife Patti Hansen (67) on their 40th wedding anniversary and posted an old photo from the celebration.

"To Patricia - Happy 40th wedding anniversary!" wrote the rock legend, who also celebrated her 80th birthday yesterday (Monday), on Instagram. In the photo, Richards and Hansen - in a tuxedo and wedding dress on the beach - are cutting a three-tier wedding cake. The British rock star closed his post with the words: "I love you. Keith."

Richards met model Patti Hansen in 1979 at the legendary "Studio 54" in New York. The couple have two daughters together.
