Bill and Tom Kaulitz are among the stars of the Halloween special of the comedy series "LOL" on Amazon Prime. The Tokio Hotel twins face off against three other pairs in the 'No Laughing Challenge' in October. The stars are challenged as teams, not as individuals. Also joining them, according to the streaming service, are comedians Mirja Boes and Torsten Sträter, actress Palina Rojinski and comedian Olaf Schubert, and actress Annette Frier and singer Sasha. The three Halloween special episodes will once again be hosted by Michael Bully Herbig.

Under the theme "Scares allowed - no laughing", the special, aside from the rule that the stars compete in pairs, runs like the regular seasons of the series. In "LOL: Last One Laughing Halloween Special", participants try to make the other teams laugh over three hours in a Halloween setting. If a participant laughs twice, they're out. The last one to laugh wins a €50,000 prize for a good cause.

Several returning stars

The "LOL" special also features several returning stars: apart from the Kaulitz brothers and Sasha, all the other stars have appeared in previous episodes of the show's five seasons.

"LOL: Last One Laughing" is one of Germany's most successful comedy formats. It has won the German Comedy Award, the German Television Award, and was nominated for an International Emmy.

The stars, including Sasha and the Kaulitz brothers, have previous experience in "LOL" as several returning stars. During the "LOL: Last One Laughing Halloween Special", the stars try to make each other laugh while adhering to the theme of "Scares allowed - no laughing".
