Mike Heslin - "Lioness" actor dies at just 30 years old
Mike Heslin (1994-2024) is dead. The young actor unexpectedly passed away at the age of only 30, as his husband Scotty Dynamo announced in social media. "On July 2nd, my husband, best friend and soulmate Mike Heslin passed away in the hospital after a one-week long fight against an unexpected heart event", Dynamo shared on Instagram.
Mike Heslin had married his partner barely half a year ago. "On November 11, 2023, I had the great honor of marrying my best friend, and it was truly the best weekend of my entire LIFE!!!", Heslin wrote in December also on Instagram along with pictures of the two.
"Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented and a true guardian angel", Dynamo bids farewell. His partner had stood by him in the fight against cancer and Heslin was the person one called when one had good news to share or needed a shoulder to lean on or advice. "He was truly the kindest, thoughtful, and loving person on Earth, and he brought out the absolute best in everyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him." Heslin made everyone around him into a better version of themselves.
Heslin gives "four different families the gift of life"
His partner was his world, Dynamo continues. "Just a week ago, we were at the beginning of founding a family and discussing our favorite baby names for our future children." The deceased would have been the best father, writes he. "Should I ever become a father, I will name my son after you and hope that I can raise him to be even half the man you were." However, comfort comes to him in the form of the assurance that Heslin, as an organ donor, "gave the gift of life to four different families." He finds himself now at a better place and heaven has gained another angel.
Heslin was active as an actor and was recently seen in the series "Special Ops: Lioness," in which Zoë Saldana (46) plays the leading role. Among his other roles were engagements in "The Influencers," "The Holiday Proposal Plan," and "Younger."
