Marie-Luise Marjan (84) is currently recovering from a serious injury. In an interview with "Bunte" magazine, the actress, who portrayed Helga Beimer in the TV series "Lindenstraße" for 35 years, revealed that she fell on stage on June 7. She fell "very badly" and suffered a hip fracture.

"I was operated on immediately. It was a lucky break. My nerves and blood vessels remained intact," the 84-year-old said. She is currently still in a rehabilitation clinic in Bad Driburg to fully recover from the fall.

"In six months, I'll be running like a deer"

For Marjan, the daily training at the facility is a new experience. "For the first time in my life, I'm training on equipment. I've never set foot in a gym before. That's changing now," she emphasizes. After all, she wants to see quick results: "In six months, I'll be running like a deer."

Marie-Luise Marjan played in the first episode of "Lindenstraße" in December 1985 until her departure in March 2020 in the German soap opera. In parallel, she was cast in various other TV productions and lent her voice, among others, to Queen Lillian in the "Shrek" films. Since the end of "Lindenstraße", the actress from Essen has been giving readings and can still be seen on TV, for example in "SOKO Stuttgart".

The hip fracture caused by her fall on stage has required Marie-Luise Marjan to undergo immediate surgery. She is currently in a rehabilitation clinic in Bad Driburg, working diligently to fully recover from her injury.

Marjan's experience at the rehabilitation clinic is a new one for her. As she trains on equipment for the first time in her life, she expresses her determination to make a swift recovery, aiming to run like a deer in six months.
