Lena Meyer-Landrut is doing better

After Lena Meyer-Landrut had to cancel two concerts at short notice due to health reasons at the end of June, the singer is now back. She had "taken a few days off."

Just before her performance on June 29 at the Tollwood Festival in Munich, there was a medical emergency. Lena Meyer-Landrut had to cancel the concert at the last minute. Now, the singer is returning with a health update.

"Slowly getting back on track," the artist posts on her official Instagram account next to a photo of her sitting in the sun, wearing sunglasses, a green top with a matching cap, and a wide smile. "I had to take a few days off and rest. Thank you for your healing wishes and patience," the 33-year-old addresses her fans.

Strong Stomach and Kidney Pain

Her fans had been disappointed by the ESC winner three times in a row: After the Tollwood Festival in Munich, Lena Meyer-Landrut also had to cancel her performance at the Landesgartenschau in Wangen im Allgäu the day after. According to her team, she had to be taken to the hospital again due to pain. In Meyer-Landrut's Instagram story it was written: "Unfortunately, Lenas condition worsened during the afternoon and she had to go to the hospital again with strong stomach and kidney pain."

Just before that, the Hannover native had announced her condition herself via Instagram: "I unfortunately had to cancel my concert in Munich at short notice yesterday. I wasn't feeling well all day and then in the evening I got painful stomach and kidney cramps, had to hand over control just before the show start and was then taken to the hospital. Thank you to the nurses and doctors who helped me so quickly."

A performance scheduled for July 1 at the Festwoche in Hadamar in Hessen had already been cancelled by the organizer on June 24 "for technical production reasons." The next performance of the singer is scheduled to take place, according to the latest information, on July 19 in Plauen, Saxony.

Lena Meyer-Landrut's Instagram post expresses her gratitude towards her fans for their well wishes and patience, as she takes a break for health reasons. Her performance at the Landesgartenschau in Wangen im Allgäu was also canceled due to her health issues, specifically strong stomach and kidney pain.
