Law enforcement authorities apprehended the offspring of Mette-Marit.
The rogue figure from Norway's royal family has once again hit the news: Crown Princess Mette-Marit's son, Marius Borg Høiby, has been taken into custody. In a court case concerning physical harm, Høiby has confessed to his involvement.
At 27 years old, Høiby, who is the offspring of Mette-Marit from a prior relationship prior to her marriage with Crown Prince Haakon, was detained by authorities, according to reports. However, the Norwegian police did not disclose additional information about the reasons behind his arrest.
Høiby was previously apprehended on August 4 in Oslo and released from police custody the following day. Police accused him of causing bodily harm and property damage. The victim was reportedly Høiby's partner. According to authorities, the victim did not sustain any severe injuries.
In a later declaration, Høiby acknowledged his role in physically attacking and injuring his lover. "After a disagreement, under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, I inflicted bodily harm and damaged property within an apartment," he revealed. His lawyer confirmed that Høiby had pleaded guilty to the charges.
Despite growing up alongside his half-siblings, Princess Ingrid Alexandra (20) and Prince Sverre Magnus (18), who share the public limelight with their royal parents, Høiby does not hold a public role like them.
Høiby's court case, revolving around physical harm, has brought renewed attention to The entertainment surrounding the Norwegian royal family. Despite his legal troubles, Høiby's actions have significantly impacted his personal life, as he admitted to causing bodily harm and property damage.
