- Last One Laughing, contestant known for Halloween special
In October, fans of the Amazon hit series "Last One Laughing" featuring Michael "Bully" Herbig will finally get some new content. While Amazon isn't releasing a full season, there will be a Halloween special. The last special was in December 2023. Unlike regular seasons, specials only consist of three episodes, not six.
The "Bild" newspaper has already reported that the Kaulitz brothers, Bill and Tom, will be participating. However, it remains to be seen how long they will last. Especially the cheerful Bill might have a hard time not laughing at every little joke. There's always a certain amount of "cannon fodder" – in past seasons, Barbara Schöneberger, Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, Joko Winterscheidt, and Ina Müller weren't particularly successful.
Only three new faces
In the upcoming special, the brothers certainly won't have an easy task, as the "Bild" has now revealed the rest of the participant lineup. Mirja Boes, regular guest Torsten Sträter, Palina Rojinski, Olaf Schubert, Annette Frier, and Sasha will also be there. Besides the Kaulitz brothers, only Sasha is new – the rest have an experience advantage.
Torsten Sträter and Mirja Boes have already won "Last One Laughing", so they know the format well. Olaf Schubert has cost participants valuable lives in several seasons. Palina Rojinski has a kind of second chance after her early elimination in the third season. But it won't be easy.
Special rules in "Last One Laughing" specials
Just a reminder: In "Last One Laughing", the goal is not to laugh. Each person has one free laugh, and the second slip-up results in elimination. The person who has best suppressed their emotions at the end gets to donate the €50,000 prize to a charity of their choice.
If Amazon keeps the special rules from the last special, the participants will likely compete in teams again in the Halloween edition. In the last Christmas special, this meant: If one laughed, both lost a life. Double challenge for the Tokio Hotel brothers, then.
It's also unclear if there will be guest appearances from former participants in the upcoming special. Anke Engelke and Bastian Pastewka are practically part of the furniture, and Max Giermann is hardly ever absent from the format. If one of the Kaulitz brothers, especially Bill, manages to survive that, it would be quite a sensation.
Fans excited for the return of "Last One Laughing" on Amazon can also enjoy watching the special on Prime Video. To catch the Kaulitz brothers, Bill and Tom, in action, make sure to tune in to Prime Video during the Halloween special.
