Climate activists, according to "The Last Generation," have infiltrated several German airports. In Berlin, Cologne/Bonn, Nuremberg, and Stuttgart, a total of eight people have entered the runways and glued themselves to the asphalt, the group announced on Thursday morning.

They are "peacefully expressing their resistance by displaying banners with the slogans 'Oil kills' and 'Sign the treaty'," the organization reported in a statement.

The Last Generation: New Protests at Airports

"The runways were not entered." The flight operations in Nuremberg have been suspended, according to a police spokesperson.

The group had already staged protests at German airports in July.

The group's actions at Nuremberg Airport were focused on air traffic, as they intervened on the runway and disrupted flights.

The suspension of flights at Nuremberg Airport significantly impacted the overall air traffic in the region.
