Kristen Stewart crashes Robert Pattinson's party
Not all ex-relationships would go well. But it doesn't seem to be a problem for former 'Twilight' lovers Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson: The 33-year-old just popped into his birthday party as a surprise.
Kristen Stewart turned up uninvited at Robert Pattinson's birthday party. Film producer Catherine Hardwicke revealed this on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast. She herself had also spontaneously crashed the actor's party. The result was a veritable reunion of the "Twilight" cast. "We all hugged each other and thought it was so crazy and cool," says the 68-year-old enthusiastically.
Hardwicke attended the party with Toni Collette, who had only recently worked with the actor. They had no idea that Stewart would also show up, the producer said. "It was a funny thing because Kristen crashed the party too."
The actress was initially very surprised, reports Hardwicke. In the end, however, it turned into a happy surprise. Apparently, Pattinson was also happy about the uninvited guests.
"Saw the sparks fly"
The 37-year-old and Stewart have a long history. They met at the "Twilight" casting in 2008. Hardwicke explains in the podcast that the two were a good match back then. "I could see it when they were doing the biology scene at my kitchen table. I saw the sparks fly," she says. It was therefore no wonder that the two fell in love, and not just on screen.
Pattinson and Stewart were lovers for more than three years. However, they broke up in 2012. The 33-year-old has been in a relationship with Dylan Meyer since 2019. She got engaged to the producer in 2021. Pattinson is also happily taken. He is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse. The two have officially been together for five years.
