Krabbenhöft thinks young people in 80s clothes are horrible
It can lastingly be and save resources. However, for fashion icon Krabbenhof, it hasn't gotten any better, as it had poor quality even before 40 years ago. Moreover, everyone looks the same in it. There have never been so many possibilities to "create one's own happiness."
Berlin influencer and fashion enthusiast Günther Krabbenhof can't win many people over with the clothing style of many young people. "Every person can do what they want. I find it disgusting that people today wear second-hand clothing from the 80s - it had poor quality back then and it's even more disgusting now," said the 79-year-old. "The city looks gray and sad because of that. I'm sorry that not many people come out of the comfort zone of mass taste anymore."
Krabbenhof himself wears rather classic cuts, which he modernly combines. In his social media videos, one can often see him dancing to techno music with young people. The Kreuzberg original has 307,000 fans on Instagram.
In his opinion, people should look much more carefully about what their own taste really is. "There have never been so many possibilities to create one's own happiness. They think they are all individual - but they really aren't."
For a way of dressing, Krabbenhof has particularly little understanding: "I find this trend terrible, that everything is too long and drags on the ground and gets dirty. When dirt and negligence come together, the look is over. You're not cool with that, you just think you are." In his opinion, maybe "we should bring more style and elegance back into fashion" instead.
Günther Krabbenhof frequently expresses his disdain for Berlin's fashion trend of wearing 80s second-hand clothes, stating that they had poor quality back then and it's even worse now. Berlin's entertainment scene often features Krabbenhof dancing to techno music with young people, despite his strong criticisms against some fashion trends.
