Actor Bill Cobbs passed away at the age of 90. According to his representative, he died surrounded by his family in the California Inland Empire. His brother Thomas Cobbs told "TMZ" that a lung infection was the likely cause of death.
Cobbs began his acting career at the age of 36, and went on to appear in numerous high-profile films. He starred alongside Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner in the hit romance "The Bodyguard" (1992), playing the role of Rachel Marron's manager. In the comedy "Night at the Museum" (2006) and its sequel "Night at the Museum: The Secret of the Tomb" (2014), he portrayed Reginald the Night Guard alongside Ben Stiller.
Bill Cobbs: late career
After theater appearances in the early 70s, Cobbs landed his first small film role in the thriller "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3" (1974). He went on to act in films such as "Silkwood," "Demolition Man," "The Hudsucker Proxy," or "The Wizard of Oz." He also appeared in numerous television productions and was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award in 2020 for his performance in the children's series "Dino Dana."
