Klaus Claus is out of "The Masked Singer"

A green hat, green eyes and a long red beard - that's Klaus Claus, Santa's brother, who appears on "The Masked Singer". Who's under the costume? Rea Garvey has the right nose.

He was Klaus Claus, Santa's brother: German singer-songwriter Tim Bendzko was eliminated in the semi-finals of the ProSieben show "The Masked Singer", finishing in fifth place. The pop singer - dressed as a red-bearded, green-robed Santa Claus brother - complained to singer Rea Garvey, who was right with his tip, that his bumpy English skills had been skewered.

However, the Berlin native, who became famous in 2011 with the song "Nur noch kurz die Welt retten", took the criticism with a smile. "It was very exhausting to be under the costume, but it was a lot of fun," said the 38-year-old. His costume presented the former young footballer with particular physical challenges: Bendzko had to wear the whole heavy costume, not just a mask.

As Klaus Claus, he was the first to sing "Stronger (What doesn't kill you)" by Kelly Clarkson in the fifth episode of the current season. For Rea Garvey, the peculiar English suggested his colleague Tim Bendzko. Ruth Moschner guessed pop singer Mickie Krause, comedian Rick Kavanian Gregor Gysi.

The final on December 23 will now feature the favorite Ice Princess, the Lulatsch, the Troll and the Mustang. The Ice Princess had initially won a three-way battle against Lulatsch and Klaus Claus - and was the first finalist to enter the next episode of the music show with the most viewer votes. Klaus Claus still had to fight. His second song "Let it Snow" by Dean Martin obviously didn't win the hearts of the viewers. In the end, he had to admit defeat to the mustang. The wild horse thrilled the audience with hits by Guns 'n' Roses and Kenny Loggins and won the last ticket to the final. Actor Uwe Ochsenknecht, who appeared as Kiwi, was revealed before Bendzko. Other participants in the current season included singer Katja Ebstein, model Eva Padberg and journalist Jenke von Wilmsdorff.
