The "King of Reggaeton" is not giving up. Omar Don is battling cancer and wants to go on tour again soon.

Don Omar - "King of Reggaeton" fights against cancer

Don Omar (46) has publicly announced that he is suffering from cancer - and declared war in the same breath. "Today yes, but tomorrow I will no longer have cancer," wrote the Reggaeton singer at Instagram. "Positive thoughts are welcome," he added. With the promise "We'll see each other again soon" he closed his text. He added the hashtag "#FuckCancer" afterwards.

As a picture, the Puerto Rican shared a photo of his hand. A hospital bracelet is apparently attached to his wrist.

Don Omar does not specify which type of cancer he is suffering from. He also does not mention which treatment he wants to get rid of the disease so quickly.

Don Omar is often referred to as "King of Reggaeton" by fans and the music press. He made the fusion of Reggae, Hip-Hop and Latin American pop known worldwide at the beginning of the 2000s. His solo debut "The Last Don" was released in 2003 and was certified gold in the USA. With this success, he paved the way for stars of the genre such as Bad Bunny (30) or J Balvin (39), who are global superstars today.

Action movie fans will not be unfamiliar with William Omar Landrón Rivera, his civil name. In four films of the "Fast & Furious" series, he played the role of Rico Santos. His debut was in part 4 "Fast & Furious - New Model. Original Parts", his last appearance in part 9.

In April, Don Omar just finished the first part of his "Back to Reggaeton" tour. In August, it continues. According to his announcement, without cancer.

His tour, "Back to Reggaeton," is scheduled to resume in August, as announced, cancer-free. Meanwhile, next to J Balvin and Bad Bunny, who he paved the way for in the Reggaeton genre, and the Fast & Furious franchise where he starred as Rico Santos, he continues to be a global figure in music and cinema.
