Since 2020, Andrew has relinquished his royal responsibilities and has not been titled 'His Royal Highness' since the year 2022.

King Charles III is disbanding Prince Andrew's protective detail.

For the last two years, following Prince Andrew's step down from royal duties in 2022, King Charles III has had to foot the bill for his brother's security. However, as per recent reports, this arrangement might be coming to an end. Sources suggest that the security team protecting Prince Andrew will be let go starting from November.

As per the Mail Online, this could potentially lead to Prince Andrew being evicted from his royal residence, the Royal Lodge. An insider shared this information. Current reports suggest that the Duke of York and King Charles are currently spending their weekend at Balmoral estate in Scotland.

It was reported earlier this year that if Prince Andrew wished to continue living in the 30-room Royal Lodge, which he had leased for 75 years in 2003, he would have to cover the substantial security costs himself. It is said that he turned down the offer to shift to Frogmore Cottage nearby.

Prince Andrew moved away from his royal duties in May 2020. In January 2022, he was compelled to relinquish his titles and patronages, and is no longer referred to as "His Royal Highness." This decision came in the wake of accusations of his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein sexual abuse scandal in the US. Prince Andrew maintains his innocence regarding all allegations.

Despite Prince Andrew's refusal to take on the financial responsibility for his security, the eviction of Prince Andrew from the Royal Lodge remains a possibility due to the forthcoming withdrawal of his security team. King Charles III and Prince Andrew are currently spending their weekend at Balmoral estate in Scotland.
