Kevin Jonas reveals he has skin cancer.

Kevin Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers band, shared a video on his verified social media account on Tuesday, disclosing his recent health issue. He stated:

"Hey, so today I'm getting a basal cell carcinoma removed from my head. See this small growth on my forehead here? That's a real skin cancer guy which started growing, and now I need surgery to remove it."

Dr. Leana Wen, a health expert with CNN, explains that basal cell carcinoma is a common type of skin cancer which "can appear as an elevated, transparent bump on the skin and most commonly occur on the head, neck, and other exposed body parts."

In the video, Jonas is seen in the car, wearing a bandage on his head, and he mentions he's returning home for recovery. He encourages his followers to regularly check their moles for any potential issues.

The Skin Cancer Foundation's official Instagram account responded to Jonas's post, offering support:

"So sorry to hear about your BCC, Kevin. Thanks for raising awareness. Early detection is key. Wishing you the best on your recovery journey."

The Jonas Brothers are scheduled to resume their tour in August, with a stop in Mexico City.
