Kick-off in Bad Segeberg - Karl May plays: "Winnetou II - Ribanna and Old Firehand"
With a furious spectacle of Action, Love, Betrayal and Heroism, the Karl-May-Plays in Bad Segeberg started into their 71st season on a Saturday evening. "Winnetou II - Ribanna and Old Firehand" is the only piece by Karl May where Winnetou (Alexander Klaws) is allowed to fall in love. But Ribanna (Sila Sahin) must decide between the Apache chief and his friend Old Firehand (Jan Hartmann).
Their joint fight against the arch-villain Emery Forster (Nick Wilder) on an elaborate set with the Western town New Venango, a soldier fort, the Assiniboine camp and Old Firehand's cabin built high into the rocks, makes it no easier. The Evil achieves successes, time and again it's close for the Heroes. But since the audience in Bad Segeberg knows that it never ends well for the Villains in Karl May's stories, they are certain of a good time.
Until the 8th of September, under the direction of Nicolas König, 72 performances will be played. Last year, more than 430,000 spectators came to the open-air theater at Kalkberg in Bad Segeberg.
