When she thinks back to the cult sitcom, she has "only good thoughts and feelings". Roberts first appeared in the double episode "The One After the Superbowl" in early 1996. She was warmly received by everyone, although she was only there as "kind of a one-off character" at the time - "and it was a really fun time".
Perry was part of the main cast of the series alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow. In his autobiography "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing" in 2022, he revealed that he and Roberts had gotten closer before her appearance. After hours of phone calls, Roberts had spontaneously turned up on his doorstep - and during her guest appearance, the two had already been a couple. However, it was only a three-month romance.
Matthew Perry was Jennifer Aniston's "little brother"
"The sudden death of someone so young is heartbreaking," says Roberts about Perry. She believes that in situations like this, it can help everyone to "appreciate what we have and continue to carry on in a positive way as best we can".
Perry was found lifeless in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home at the end of October and died at the age of 54. Many of his fans and colleagues took to social media to bid him farewell. "Matty, I love you so much and I know you are completely at peace now and in no more pain. I talk to you every day. (...) Rest easy, little brother," Aniston wrote on Instagram.
