Jude Law Lamentably Admits Regrets
Actor Jude Law has had a successful career that he can be proud of. Yet, there's one thing he wishes he had done differently. Reflecting on his past, the 51-year-old expresses that he regrets not fully embraced his status as a notorious lady's man.
With a career spanning over 35 years, this Brit has many accomplishments to be proud of. In the 90s, he became a Hollywood heartthrob, and in 2004, he deservedly earned the title of "Sexiest Man Alive." However, looking back at this part of his life, he also admits to having some regrets. He shared his thoughts with the British magazine, "DuJour."
Jude Law is known for his distinguished acting abilities. He made his mark in Hollywood with films like "Gattaca" (1997), where he starred alongside Ethan Hawke in a dystopian sci-fi film and in the movies "The Talented Mr. Ripley" (1999) and "Cold Mountain" (2003), where he gained notoriety for being a charismatic object of desire.
"Let myself go more"
In hindsight, Law admits that in his twenties, he tried too hard to resist the label of just being a pretty face. He humorously wishes he had "let himself go more."
Today, Law is fine with playing characters without any appeal. He showcases this in his latest project, "Firebrand," where he portrays King Henry VIII, a tyrannical and paranoid king with messy hair, a thick beard, and wearing no makeup. He even intentionally violated the hygiene standards of the 16th century just to fit the role, commenting at Cannes Film Festival, "I thought it would be a great effect if I smelled really bad."
