US-singer Jon Bon Jovi is reportedly mourning the loss of his mother. According to "People" and "Variety," the statement from the 62-year-old reads, "Our mother was a force to reckon with. Her enthusiasm and creativity shaped our family. We will miss her greatly." Carol Bongiovi reportedly passed away on Tuesday at the age of 83, just before her birthday.

Jon Bon Jovi, whose real name is John Bongiovi, returned with a new album titled "Forever" in June. He has been married to his wife Dorothea for 35 years, and they have four children. In May, their son Jake Bongiovi (22) married British actress Millie Bobby Brown ("Stranger Things," 20).
