Television - Joko desperate: Premiere for Matthias Schweighöfer
He is an actor, director, producer, musician and now also a presenter: Matthias Schweighöfer (42) presented the ProSieben quiz "Wer stiehlt mir die Show?" for the first time and upset the actual presenter Joko Winterscheidt (44) time and time again.
The show, which lasted several hours and had already been recorded in Berlin in the summer, was broadcast on television on Sunday evening. It could already be seen in advance on the paid streaming platform Joyn Plus.
Schweighöfer had won the final against Winterscheidt in the previous edition and was therefore allowed to take over as host. In several rounds of the quiz, the actual host, actor Florian David Fitz and comedian Hazel Brugger, now had to try to take the job away from Schweighöfer again.
Duel between Winterscheidt and Schweighöfer
After a harmonious duet at the beginning of the show to the song "Shallow", it later became more and more of a duel between the two friends Winterscheidt and Schweighöfer. In the game "Aushalten: Nicht Lachen" game with the help of Klaas Heufer-Umlauf and ex-football star Mario Basler to make the candidates laugh - Winterscheidt could hardly remain serious.
After a guest appearance by singer Tim Bendzko, who looks very similar to Schweighöfer, the long-time friends faced each other again in the final. When asked about the venue for next year's Olympic Games, Winterscheidt gambled that his opponent wouldn't know the answer ("If you have Paris, I'll shoot myself").
But to his horror, Schweighöfer knew the answer and can now present the award-winning format once again. His opponent in the final, on the other hand, couldn't quite grasp the outcome and knelt on the studio floor, lost in thought.
