Johansson's daughter cannot stand Mama's Marvel films
Not everything parents do convinces children. It doesn't have to. Actress Scarlett Johansson shares now that her daughter refuses to watch some of her films. They are "too violent." However, others manage to win over the next generation.
American actress Scarlett Johansson gained millions of fans around the world mainly due to her role as "Black Widow" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, her own daughter Rose Dorothy is not among them. The actress revealed this in an interview with "People" magazine. Her nine-year-old daughter is too scared to watch the famous Marvel films with her mother.
"She likes it that I play 'Black Widow,' but she's too afraid to see an 'Avengers' movie," Johansson admitted. Her daughter of the 39-year-old finds her mother's superhero movies "too violent." However, she is excited about her current film, the romantic drama-comedy "To the Moon." "I think she's mainly excited about the hair and the makeup," Johansson said. "She's just being a girl." The Hollywood star finds it "funny."
How was the collaboration with the husband?
Johansson's daughter is from her relationship with French journalist Romain Dauriac. Shortly after the birth of Rose Dorothy in 2014, the actress and the Frenchman married, but they separated about two years later. After a long custody battle, the divorce was finalized in September 2017. Since May 2017, she has been in a relationship with American comedian Colin Jost, who even has a brief cameo in "To the Moon." The two married in October 2020 and became parents of their common son Cosmo in 2021. After her failed marriage with acting colleague Ryan Reynolds, Jost is Johansson's third husband.
The joint appearance in "To the Moon" was a pleasure for both Johansson and Jost, Johansson also revealed. Normally, the two wouldn't come together to work. Her husband had written sketches for her appearance on "Saturday Night Live," but there had never been an opportunity for them to appear together somewhere before.
Scarlett Johansson's husband, Colin Jost, had previously written sketches for her on "Saturday Night Live", but their joint appearance in the film "To the Moon" was their first work together as a duo in a project outside of SNL. Despite Scarlett's daughter Rose Dorothy being too scared to watch her mother's violent Marvel films, she is excited about Scarlett's role in the romantic comedy-drama "To the Moon", particularly the hair and makeup.
