Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have officially ended their marriage.
Following Joe Jonas's filing for divorce over a year ago, his split with Sophie Turner has been filled with custody battles and otherissues. Now, it seems that their divorce is finally official. However, does this also signify the end of their custody war?
As reported by TMZ, the divorce of the two celebrities has been officially finalized. Back in 2023, Jonas filed for the dissolution of his marriage to the "Game of Thrones" star. A judge apparently approved the divorce after the former couple reached a confidential agreement.
The divorce brings an end to the four-year union of the celebrity pair. Jonas and Turner began dating in 2016 and tied the knot on May 1, 2019 in a Vegas nuptial. Their first daughter, Willa, was born in 2020, and their second daughter, Delphine, joined the family in 2022. Jonas filed for divorce in early September 2023.
Lawsuit Filed by Turner
The custody battle reportedly intensified shortly after Jonas and Turner announced their amicable separation on social media in September 2023. Turner then allegedly filed a lawsuit against Jonas, claiming that he was withholding the passports of their children to prevent them from traveling to England.
According to Turner's lawyers, the sudden separation occurred following a heated argument on August 15, 2023. Turner further claimed that she discovered Jonas's divorce filing through the media. Jonas's representatives denied all allegations.
In October 2023, the former couple reportedly began mediation to reach an agreement on property and custody matters. It appears that they were successful in resolving their differences.
With the divorce finalized, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner can now focus on co-parenting their children. Despite their differences, music will always be a shared bond for their family as Jonas is a renowned musician.
