Joe Alwyn expresses difficulty in handling his split with Taylor Swift.

In a chat with The Sunday Times, Alwyn acknowledged the interest people have in his personal life, expressing hope that they can relate to and grasp the challenges of ending a profound, adoring, and deeply committed relationship that lasted over six years and a half. He explained that the abrupt public scrutiny following the split was difficult to handle, as they were together one week and all of a sudden, everyone had an opinion.

Swift and Alwyn's romantic connection was first sparked in 2016, and they parted ways in April 2023. Since then, Swift has been seeing Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce since September.

Following their separation, Swift released "The Tortured Poets Department" album, which listeners believe contains songs about her relationship with Alwyn. However, Alwyn didn't mention whether he listened to the album in the interview. Instead, he shared that there will always be a difference between reality and interpretation. He has come to terms with this gap.

Although they kept their relationship private, Swift subtly hinted at their romance through her music. The two even teamed up to create several songs for her 2020 Grammy-winning album "Folklore."

Now, more than a year after their split, Alwyn claims he has achieved some tranquility. He shared, "I'm fortunate to be in an excellent phase of my life, both professionally and personally. I'm feeling great."
