Jack Schlossberg - JFK-Single will become "Vogue's" Politic Correspondent

Those who have been on the TikTok platform in the past few months cannot have missed the comical and sometimes absurd videos of Jack Schlossberg (31). In the Generation Z, the only grandson of the legendary US President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) has long become an icon. Vogue Magazine has now appointed the son of Caroline Kennedy (66) as its political correspondent in the run-up to the Presidential Election 2024.

Jack Schlossberg has three Ivy League degrees

And not without reason: Schlossberg was not only born into one of the most famous political families in the United States, the 31-year-old has a Bachelor's degree in History from Yale University and studied Law and Economics at Harvard University. During his studies, he worked for the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental Scientific Affairs of the US State Department. His mother Caroline is the US Ambassador to Australia.

He wants to reach young voters

Schlossberg is "inspired by the legacy of my family in public service," according to Vogue. "I take that very seriously, and I want to contribute in my way. I have big dreams, but I also know that I'm trying to do something positive today." In addition to a long interview with Schlossberg, the magazine also published a photo shoot, in which the 31-year-old is dressed in a shirt and tie and poses in a office building.

As a political correspondent for Vogue, the JFK grandson aims to reach a young voter audience with a mix of expertise and his personality - especially in a "serious moment in American politics, where many feel that democracy itself is at stake." In entertaining, yet informative videos, he will report on the news from Washington - from the Presidential Debates to Supreme Court decisions.

"When you ask people to think seriously about something, you have to make it entertaining or funny," says Schlossberg. "You can't just bombard them with how bad things are. You have to give things, that you care about, a positive and good energy. That's the only strategy I have."

His grandfather, John F. Kennedy, is his "hero," says Schlossberg in an interview with Vogue. He is "a role model for how progressivism can work in America and how America can lead the world in a positive, optimistic, and science-oriented way." Above all, the topic of climate change is close to his heart.

Jack Schlossberg is a TikTok icon

In the past few months, Schlossberg has openly expressed his views on the political situation in the US and made no secret of his support for Democrat Joe Biden (81). In a series of Instagram videos, he publicly criticized his cousin and independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (70) in a typically witty manner. Kennedy Jr. (1960-1999) that excites Generation Z. Schlossberg himself says in the "Vogue" interview: "I'm just having a good time. I'm a funny, crazy guy."

Jack Schlossberg was born in 1993 as the youngest of three children of artist Edwin Schlossberg (78) and Caroline Kennedy. The latter is the only surviving child of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (1929-1994).
