She sweats, sings, keeps nerves in check and makes witty videos: More than an hour is US actress Jennifer Garner (52) trapped in an elevator and shares this experience with her Instagram followers.

"Hey people, we're trapped in this elevator", Garner says in the first video recording two minutes after the power outage. She could use Wolverine or Deadpool or someone as a rescuer, she jokes in the clip. The second of a total of seven videos has a timestamp of 11 minutes. It's warm, she's sweating, she comments grinning.

After 35 minutes, she's sitting on the floor and explains that she once heard in a TV show that this is the best in such a situation.

In the next video (41.5 minutes), she sings a song, in the fifth clip (45 minutes), the camera pans to other people in the elevator making a distress call. In the seventh video (1 hour), Garner hums the Madonna song "Like a Prayer", while lights flash in the elevator. After 1 hour and 12 minutes, then the rescue: The door opens, a fireman appears, loud cheers are heard.

Numerous followers praised Garner's humor and composure. "Oh my god, how can you stay so calm", wrote actress Gwyneth Paltrow about the video posts.

According to Garner, the elevator malfunction occurred during her first visit to Comic-Con in San Diego, California. At the film festival that weekend, the actress had promoted "Deadpool & Wolverine" with colleagues like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. In the third "Deadpool" film, the three-time mother has a small role as the anti-heroine Elektra.

Garner, referencing the popular Marvel character, jokingly mentions using Wolverine or Deadpool as a rescuer in one of her Instagram videos. Later, while stuck in the elevator, she recalls hearing about sitting on the floor being beneficial in such situations, likely referring to a TV show or movie featuring Wolverine or another character from the United States of America. After the ordeal, people in Los Angeles, being avid fans of Garner and her recent projects like "Deadpool & Wolverine," likely flooded her Instagram with praise for her calm demeanor and humor during the incident.
