Jennifer Affleck aims to obtain legal recognition as Jennifer Lopez once more.
As part of her divorce petition, obtained by CNN, the entertainer is asking to reinstate her name as "Jennifer Lynn Lopez" rather than "Jennifer Lynn Affleck".
Recently, Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, timed with the commemoration of their second wedding anniversary in 2022, held in Riceboro, Georgia. She identified the separation date as April 26, 2024, which means they were together for a year and nine months before the split.
This filing followed news that they had been spending their summer on different coasts, with Lopez enjoying her birthday party in late July, themed around "Bridgerton", with no indication of Affleck's presence.
Back in February, Lopez unveiled "The Greatest Love Story Never Told", a documentary detailing her self-produced album "This Is Me... Now" and her lifelong pursuit of self-love.
In the movie, Affleck revealed his willingness to accommodate Lopez's desire for a more public display of their private life.
Their separation is yet another chapter in the high-profile love tale between two celebrities spanning over several decades.
