Jaylen Brown nets 40 points, giving Boston Celtics a 2-0 advantage over Indiana Pacers in Eastern Conference Finals.

In yesterday's game, Brown managed to tie his personal record for points in a playoff match, contributing significantly to the Celtics' victory and dominance in the series. This came just a day after he was absent from the All-NBA team selection.

Boston had a relatively smooth victory in this contest compared to their nerve-wracked win in the previous game, benefiting from an impressive 20-point run that occurred between the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second. On the other hand, Indiana faced a setback when their star player, Tyrese Haliburton, sustained an injury in the third quarter and was unable to play in the fourth.

Game 3 of this best-of-seven series is now set to take place on Saturday, starting at 8:30 p.m. local time.

Coach Joe Mazzulla of the Celtics shared his thoughts on the neglect of Brown from the All-NBA teams, saying that this might have motivated him but he was primarily focused on winning, and improving. Brown himself made a somewhat blunter statement when asked about this, remarking, "We're two games away from the finals, so honestly, I just don't care."

Jayson Tatum scored 23 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and provided 5 assists for Boston, while Derrick White chipped in with 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists. Pascal Siakam led Indiana's scoring with 28 points, shooting 76.5% from the field, but it was a disappointing night for the Pacers overall. They'll be hoping for a better showing at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the upcoming games.

The injury to Haliburton further dampened their spirits, with Coach Rick Carlisle revealing that they'd have more information on his condition tomorrow, followed by an update on Saturday.

Brown enjoyed a joint-career-high points haul for a playoff game against the Pacers.
