Janet Jackson discloses another wardrobe mishap occured, this time in proximity to Queen Elizabeth.
The famed entertainer and performer dished out the regally scrumptious beverage in a video collaborated with British Vogue for their "Life in Looks" series, which went live on Thursday. In this segment, she shared a humorous anecdote concerning her renowned "Rhythm Nation" ensemble.
"I was performing for Queen Elizabeth and we were doing 'Rhythm Nation,'" she reminisced. "As expected, as soon as I went into a squat, my pants split right at my posterior."
Hold up! We're still reeling from discovering Jackson's notorious relatives and now this?
"I couldn't believe it happened," Jackson admitted. "I thought 'Oh my goodness!'"
The icon revealed that she was certain of the accident when she felt a breeze "behind" from the split in her pants. She needed to modify her act before performing for the Queen.
"I made sure I never turned away from her, something that was part of the choreography," Jackson shared. "I just faced her directly instead."
Jackson also discussed the origins of the well-known key she wore on a hoop earring – she managed the upkeep of the numerous animals in her family's household, which was her method of carrying the key – and her collaboration with brother Michael Jackson on the "Scream" music video.
The entertaining video garnered lots of attention due to the unexpected wardrobe malfunction during her performance. Jackson's performance routine had to be adjusted to avoid any further inconvenience.
Regardless of the technical difficulty, the entertainer continued to captivate audiences with her charm and talent, showing that true entertainers never let a minor setback affect their performance.
