Jane's Addiction apologizes and scraps performance due to physical altercation between band members Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro during live event.
"Got some news to share, y'all, and we're genuinely sorry for the turn of events from the previous night," the band stated on their Instagram Story on Saturday.
The gig in Bridgeport, Connecticut, which was set for Sunday evening, had to be scrapped "consequently" due to the scuffle, the message added.
Refunds will be processed at the buyer's original purchase location.
Some videos circulating on social media captured Farrell, the frontman of Jane's Addiction, engaging in a verbal exchange with guitarist Navarro during their performance in Boston on Friday night. Farrell can be seen advancing towards Navarro, who seems to be attempting to keep him at bay.
The situation escalated, with Farrell attempting to strike Navarro, before other band members and crew members intervened, managing to hold Farrell back and creating a barrier between him and Navarro.
Representatives for Jane's Addiction, Navarro, and Farrell have been contacted by CNN for comment.
Jane's Addiction is currently on tour and is due to perform in Toronto on Wednesday. The tour is slated to wrap up in Los Angeles in October.
