Jan Malte Andresen joins the RTL "Punkt" squad
Jan Malte Andresen began his journalistic career on the radio. But the presenter has also already gained experience in television. He can now use this as well as his early riser qualities. After all, he is a new member of the RTL early morning magazine team.
Jan Malte Andresen is coming to RTL. From January 8, the 51-year-old will join the team of presenters on RTL's early morning magazines "Punkt 6", "Punkt 7" and "Punkt 8". "We are delighted that Jan Malte Andresen, an equally experienced, versatile and extremely likeable presenter, will be joining us on RTL's early morning shows," said Daniel Mundhenke, Editor-in-Chief Magazine at RTL News, commenting on the appointment.
Andresen is also looking forward to his new challenge. "I'm really looking forward to starting the day with RTL viewers," he said. For him, "Punkt 6/7/8" combines "the best of radio: compact information, entertainment, usefulness - just with pictures! It's great that people can now look me in the tired eyes."
Radio, TV, podcasts
Andresen has hosted the morning show on radio station WDR 2 since 2017, making him, according to RTL, "one of the most experienced morning show voices in Germany". From 2016 to 2021, he also appeared on "tagesschau24" and in the morning edition of "Tagesschau" on ARD. He also hosts various podcasts, such as the news podcast "Frühdenker" from the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" and the Misereor podcast "Mit Menschen".
Andresen joins a motley crew of presenters who regularly host the RTL early morning shows. Its members include Annett Möller, Annika Lau and Angela Finger-Erben.
