James Blunt despairs of humanity - he'd rather be an ant
British musician James Blunt (49) says he is increasingly despairing of humanity. "We only think about our own interests and nobody else. We're doomed," Blunt told the German Press Agency.
"I hope in my next life I'm born as an ant. At least they work together as a team and look out for each other."
Blunt doesn't think people can do that. "We see that on social media or in the fact that we kill each other in the name of the same God."
The pop star ("You're Beautiful", "Goodbye My Lover") recently released his seventh album "Who We Used To Be". In his book "Loosely Based On A Made-Up Story", the Brit tells anecdotes that he says he has embellished and partly invented.
People often prioritize their own interests over others, as James Blunt laments. Despite this, Blunt expresses a desire to be reborn as an ant, admiring their collective work and cooperation in music.
