It would be unusual for a spin-off of the iconic series "Sex and the City" if the leading ladies, led by Sarah Jessica Parker (59), didn't continue to deliver fantastic fashion moments. Recently, Kristin Davis (59), who plays Charlotte York, was spotted on set in New York, wearing a look that's reminiscent of a memorable scene from the fifth season of "SATC".
Revisiting a Cult Fashion Moment
Davis was seen on set wearing a strapless black midi dress, reminiscent of her iconic look from the fifth season's fifth episode. In that episode, Charlotte attends her friend Carrie Bradshaw's book release party in a form-fitting, strapless little black dress. It seems that dress has made its way back into the series, though the context is still unclear.
On Tuesday, July 30, Davis paired the dress with a slightly sheer black tights, black strappy heels, and a small Chanel handbag. Her brown hair was left down, and silver jewelry completed the look.
Photos from the set also show Davis accidentally tripping over the legendary TV extra, "Radio Man" (73), as she exits a restaurant. The actor, known for over 300 cameo appearances in film and TV, is pushing a fully loaded shopping cart with a sign that reads "Will Work 4 Ozempic", a diabetes medication.
"And Just Like That..." takes place eleven years after the events of the last "Sex and the City" movie. Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon, 58), and Charlotte York (Davis) remain best friends, facing the challenges of life in their 50s.
No Reunion with Samantha Jones
Fans hoping for a reunion with Kim Cattrall (67) as Samantha Jones will be disappointed. The actress recently declined an offer to appear in the series. On Sunday, July 21, she denied rumors that she would reprise her role as Samantha Jones, responding to a fan on X (formerly Twitter): "Oh, that's so sweet, but it's not me."
Davis's return to New York City's sets continues the tradition of stylish fashion moments from "And Just Like That...", echoing her memorable look from the fifth season of "Sex and the City." The strapless black midi dress, similar to the one she wore in the famous book release party episode, was seen on her during filming.
